Have you ever stumbled upon something in your storage that brought a smile to your face? I had one of those moments recently. While rummaging through the storeroom for something I can’t even remember, I found a particular bag that I should’ve probably sold. But it was just too cute and fluffy to let go! This discovery got me thinking, “What can I even fit in this bag?” For fun, I decided to test its capacity with a little twist: everything except my phone had to be either mostly pink or white or stored in a pink or white pouch or container.
The Bag: Poteusa Loppy Gamaguchi Pochette
The bag in question that triggered this little experiment is the Pote Usa Loppy Gamaguchi Pochette. It’s an adorable giant plush Japanese coin purse inspired by the Pote Usa Loppy character. Its dimensions are 24 x 25 x 17 cm (9.4″ x 9.8″ x 6.7″).
So, how did I come by this bag? I won it from a UFO catcher machine on a website called Toreba. Not the wisest way to spend money, but at least I had fun!
Here are the contents of my bag:
- Phone: I have the Google Pixel 8 Pro that I got in December. I didn’t have a pink or white phone case, so it had to be exempt from the colour rule I had set myself. Can’t not have a phone when going out these days.
- Palmolive Japanese Cherry Blossom Hand Sanitiser (Part of a Palmolive Travels Mini Set): The only hand sanitiser I had that was mostly pink and can’t go without a hand sanitiser.
- L’occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream: This fit the theme more than The Body Shop Mango Hand Cream, as I have the one with the latest white packaging. I’ll be changing to this once my current hand cream runs out, as it’s much cheaper than the one from The Body Shop.
- Clio Kill Cover Mesh Glow Cushion in 3 Linen: I’m not usually a make-up person but for when I really need to cover up my blemishes, this does the trick and it suits my skin tone nicely. The translucent pink case matches the theme well here.
- Il Bisonte Key Case pouch with Cygnett power bank and Type C USB cable.
- Sanitary Pad: Happened to have a white one, and the test was to fit in as much as I, so why not?
- Pink mesh pouch with Cinnamoroll mirror and brush: The pouch was a souvenir from a friends’ hens party, so I used it as a cheat to fit in the Cinnamoroll mirror and brush that I got from Temu.
- Beauty of Joseon Sunscreen – Non-greasy and no white cast, perfect for high UV exposure. It’s technically in off-white packaging, but it’s white enough, right?
- KAHI Seoul Wrinkle Bounce Moisturising Stick – For my forehead and neck. It’s actually in a beige container, but I took it to match the white theme anyways.
- KAHI Seoul Kisstin Balm Pink: For blush and lip moisture.
- 3CE Plumping Lips: I love tinted lip balm, and this one in pink is my go-to.
- Dress Up Your Purse Dream Collection Lambskin Leather Key Pouch (now sold out, but there are other types of key pouches in different colours and leathers available instead): I keep pocket tissues here, especially for sneezing episodes. I’ve also started keeping hand towelettes in here, because it can’t fit a brand new pack of pocket tissues.
- Dress Up Your Purse Dream Collection Lambskin Leather Mini Envelope with cash and cards.
- Zippered Pink Bear Coin Purse from Temu (now sold out):
- Sony WF-C700N Earbuds – Perfect for public transport commutes and watching YouTube videos.
- Phone screen wiper from Temu in the shape of a macaroon – For the occasional fingerprints and other kind of messes that end up on my phone screen.
I then accessorised it with a Togo Leather Swiveling Heart Keyring from DUYP.
A side note, if you’re interested in ordering anything from DUYP, you can take advantage of my coupon code WTHANDBAG at check out to get 15% off. Please note that this only works on full-priced items and doesn’t work in conjunction with other offers or with flash sale discounts.
Verdict
I was genuinely surprised by how much I was able to fit in this cute and fluffy bag. It took a bit of Tetris-like maneuvering to make everything fit perfectly. Since my phone is the most frequently used item, I made sure to place it near the opening for easy access. While this bag might not be practical for everyday use, it’s great for a dress-up party or any special occasion that calls for something fun and whimsical.
